ABC's 20/20 will be airing an exclusive interviewwith ex-Oklahoma City police officer,Daniel Holtzclaw, on Friday, April 22 titled "What the Dash Cam Never Saw."The interview will take a look at both sides of the case and will include interviews from family members and colleagues as well asfour of his 13 accusers and a jury member. The interview will also include police interrogation tapes. ABC's Juju Chang completed the interview from the prison.

The charges and the conviction

Daniel was accused of committing sex crimes against 13 women in the Oklahoma City area where he served as a police officer. The case went national after it was released that all of Daniel's accusers were African American. The accusers ranged in age from 17 to 57 years. Of the 36 counts Daniel was charged with, he was ultimately convicted of 18. The crimes included sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy,procuring lewd exhibition, first degree rape, and second degree rape.

Jurors spent 45 hours over the span of four days deliberating the outcome.On December 10, 2015, Daniel's 29th birthday, hewas sentenced to a total of 263 years in prison. Supporters of the accuserssang "Happy Birthday" to him to spite him.

Daniel's family continues to fight to free him

Daniel's family has adamantly maintained from the very beginning that heis innocent and have eagerly pushed for his story to be told.They havemaintained the facebook page, Free Daniel Holtzclaw, throughout the entire trial and still keep supporters of Daniel up-to-date with this page.

His family has spent all of their savings on his defense and continue to look for ways to have the ruling overturned. Besides hearing from family members and colleagues during the interview, you will also hear from private investigator Brian Bates.
