Throughout the world American Idol has been a sensation to many aspiring singers and musicians. Although the road is tough to advance along the show, the experience is valuable and well worth the at times grueling process. In AI Season 12 there was one contestant in particular that stood out to millions, showing strength through his adversity and personal obstacles. Lazaro Arbos is a Cuban singer who was a sixth place finalist on season 12 of American Idol. Throughout his hiatus he has been working hard to iron out his sound of music to present to his fans for the new year of 2016. It's safe to say that he's back and better than ever.

Within working on this new music, he has recently announced on social media a brand new single entitled "I Want More" produced by billboard producer and songwriter James Worthy. By description, the song is a fun up-tempo style mixed with a little R&B for urban appeal. It seems like lately Mr. Worthy has taken on some of the most interesting projects in the industry which is hard to say most times. From Truth Hurts, Bonecrusher, Monifah, to B Angie Bthere is no doubt James has given this young talent a hit song.

Also, looking deeper into the new song, a new songwriter is definitely emerging in the industry by the name of Princess J(ironically she has appeared on American Idol herself as a Season 6 contestant).

Ms J is currently working with Mr Worthy on other projects to look out for in 2016. The release date for "I Want More" is scheduled for February 26th on all distributional outlets for purchase.

An Overview of Lazaro

Lazaro auditioned for American Idol in Chicago, where he sung the song "Bridge over Troubled Water." The judges were stunned by his performance after he spoke to them with a noticeable stutter, but he did not stutter once he began to sing.

In the semifinals, he performed "Feeling Good" by Cy Grant. By March 7th, 2013, he was voted into the finals in the Top 7 round. Advancing, his performance of "We Are the Champions" by Queen placed him among the top three contestants. He eventually exited in 6th place.
