Express UK adds the Royal couple had requested fans not to send gifts but those willing to join in the celebrations could donate to their favorite charitable causes.
That has caught on and the Duke and Duchess have thanked all those who have responded.
They have written via Instagram – “Whether a $5 donation, £1000 contribution, offering to volunteer, or spreading the word – you’ve played your part.” The post received more than 100,000 likes in less than an hour. In view of the secrecy on the part of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the social media could be the only source to know details of the newborn.
This birth could fall in the category of a global event.
Some tidbits on the baby
According to Glamour, Meghan’s baby could be born in late April or early May. It will be a home birth as Queen Elizabeth II herself had. The decision on the name will come later but the parents have a list of baby names ready. The royal tradition demands that the Queen will be the first to know of the new arrival. That is when it will also be known as to whether it is a boy or a girl.
Prince Harry is always beside Meghan and his focus is on ensuring that she is comfortable and happy. They have shifted residence from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage, which is on the grounds of Windsor Castle. It will be here that Baby Sussex will grow up. The rumor mills will work overtime to splash all sorts of news and we will have to rely on authentic sources only.
