Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

If you love hamburgers, you’re in for a treat during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. The Rockin’ Burger Block Party takes over World ShowPlace in the Walt Disney World theme park on September 30, October 14, and November 11. Anyone who finds culinary bliss in biting into a thick, juicy burger with all the trimmings will love this party. It’s for those who like a gourmet twist, too, as each party will feature seven unique burgers with trimmings like fried green tomatoes or even a beer battered twist.

If you can’t make it to Walt Disney World during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, never fear.

The burgers featured at 2016’s inaugural Rockin’ Burger Block Party were dreamed up by chefs from restaurants around the resort, including Disney Springs. The former Downtown Disney area has been transformed with new shops, entertainment, and dining options, including some wonderful burgers available 365 days a year at various eateries, including Raglan Road, STK, and D-Luxe Burger.

Disney Springs is popular with locals and tourists alike because there’s no admission charge and on-site parking is free in the surface lots and the two massive parking garages that conveniently let you know how many spots are available on each level and mark those spots with green overhead lights to eliminate wandering up and down the rows.

It’s a popular spot at Walt Disney World during the day and into the night, so most of its restaurants are open for lunch as well as dinner.

Perhaps the foremost spot for burgers at Disney Springs is the recently opened D-Luxe Burger. The restaurant offers six different burgers, including the Southern style variety that’s being served up at the first Rockin’ Burger Block Party at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

Chef Bill Brown talks about the backstory and the half dozen tasty hamburgers that will make you drool as you try to choose:

Raglan Road

On the flipside, Raglan Road is one of the older restaurants at Disney Springs, but it keeps things fresh and new on its menu and with its in-house entertainment. It’s a popular Irish pub at Walt Disney World that’s bringing a beer-battered burger to kick off the 2016 Rockin’ Burger Block Party dates, but burgers are far from the only things on its menu.

Celebrity chef Kevin Dundon gives his own unique twist to Irish cuisine, so expect to see favorites like curry, fish and chips, and shepherd’s pie among the hearty offerings. The restaurant takes its entertainment as serious as its food, as you can see in the video below. It showcases Rhythms of Raglan, the new show that just debuted this fall:

Another of the new Disney Springs restaurants is becoming known for its burgers, even though it’s more synonymous with steak. STK celebrated its grand opening earlier this year, which you can see in the video below. This Walt Disney World eatery is bringing the succulence of wagyu beef to kick off the celebration of burgers at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, and beef lovers won’t have any trouble finding something appealing on the menu any time they visit the restaurant.

If you're visiting Walt Disney World on one of the Rockin' Burger Block Party dates during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, options start at $99 per person (not including theme park admission) for all the burgers you can eat, set to a backdrop of musical entertainment and a chance to vote for you favorite burger at the end of the night.
