Princess Elena of Avalor is a big hit on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior, and the brave and bold Latina princess stepped up to her rightful place among the other Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World this week.

She'll appear several times a day in "The Royal Welcome of Princess Elena," where Cinderella and Prince Charming will officially greet her in front of their castle and encourage her to tell the audience all about her Latin kingdom of Avalor and her magical adventures.

Princess Elena brings Latin flair to Disney World

Little princesses who love the new Disney Channel show will surely sing along when Princess Elena sings "My Time." The song is already a favorite from the show, which showcases a wide array of Latin musical styles, like Mariachi, Latin Pop, Salsa, Banda and Chilean Hip Hop.

Audiences who gather in front of the Magic Kingdom's landmark castle will marvel at seeing the princess live and in her full splendor.

Her crown sparkles with over 200 jewelsand her fiery red dress is embroidered with more than 900 flowers. In keeping with her culture's emphasis on family, Elena's gown pays a floral tribute to her kingdom and clan.

You can see the very first show in the video below. This initial show had a little more pomp and circumstance than you'll see in the daily run because it was Princess Elena's first time in the Magic Kingdom. In the coming weeks, she'll become a fixture.

While her show is a limited engagement, there's no set end date so she should be at Walt Disney World for a while to come.

If you're interested in meeting her at a meet and greet, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog.

Creating Disney Princess magic

The creative minds at Walt Disney World put a lot of thought into creating the magic. Show Director Tara Anderson started out as a performer, and now she works behind the scenes to bring Disney entertainment to life.

In the video below, she talks about her inspiration and influences in creating a warm on-stage welcome for Princess Elena:

Mickey's new Magic Kingdom show continues too

The castle stage will stay lively all day. In addition to hosted Princess Elena for several daily shows, it will continue to be the home of Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire.

Mickey's new show debuted at the Magic Kingdom earlier this year as part of the Awaken Summer celebration at Walt Disney World.

It features Mickey, Minnie, and princesses like Rapunzel, Tiana, Anna, and Queen Elsa. The show will alternate with Princess Elena's new welcome extravaganza, so check your park map for exact times for each show.
