Christmas is still six months away, but the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando just revealedthe 2016 theme for its annual Ice! eventwhich runs November 18 to January 1.

This year's ice sculptures will be based on 'A Charlie Brown Christmas,' with iconic scenes like the holiday play and Snoopy's award winning decorated doghouse.

Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Snoopy will also be on hand to greet guests in person at a character breakfast with themed dishes like Pig Pen's Dirty Hash Browns and Lucy's Flapjacks.

Cirque Dreams returns to the Gaylord Palms Resort

The popular Cirque Dreams Unwrapped show that debuted in 2015 is also returning with an expanded line-up, and the classic atrium Christmas tree that acts as a backdrop for the stage is being replaced with a brand-new 60 foot LED model that performs a special light show.

The entire resort will come to life with more than two million lights and colorful poinsettias blooming all around the Gaylord Palms Resort.

Christmas snow comes to Florida

The resort announced its Christmas line-up at a special preview that also included assurances that Florida snow will be back, too. The resort, which is just outside ofWalt Disney World, is one of the few places where you can go snow tubing on genuine snow.

This year, you'll also be able to toss snowballs at targets. In addition, Mrs. Claus will be back to lead sing-alongs and kids can decorate gingerbread and make new friends at the Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Gaylord Palms expands Christmas entertainment

Cirque Dreams producer Neal Goldberg was on hand at the announcement to talk about the show's expansion.

It was wildly popular at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando last year, packing the atrium with appreciative audiences.

That's why the resort added more show times this year, and Goldberg said he's added new acts and 'wow' moments to dazzle those who've seen it before and win over first-time viewers.

He shares his philosophy in the video below:

The video below shows the 2015 version of Cirque Dreams Unwrapped at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando. It's a family show, with colorful costumes, singing, acrobatics, and other breathtaking acts. Admission is free, whether you're staying at the resort or are just visiting for Ice!

Charlie Brown is perfect fit for Ice! event

While Cirque Dreams Unwrapped will have some changes, Ice! is completely new, other than the lovely crystal ice nativity scene that always caps the display.

'A Charlie Brown Christmas' is fitting for 2016, coming on the heels of last year's successful Peanuts film. The 2015 theme was the holiday classic ''Twas the Night Before Christmas,' with colorful ice sculptures telling the story as you can see in the video below:

As always, the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando will welcome Chinese artisans from the city of Harbin to work their magic and transform plain ice blocks into the Charlie Brown story.

The artisans come to Florida a little over a month before Ice!

opens to start their work. Packages are already on sale via the official Gaylord Palms website.
