The latest updates for "Dragon Ball FighterZ" reveal the next DLC characters to join the game's growing roster. Twitter username Nibel retweeted a post from @ryokutya837 announcing that the base forms of Son Goku and Vegeta are coming to the game in August.

Bandai Namco Entertainment also plans to launch the game's open beta test for the Nintendo Switch console next month. "Dragon Ball FighterZ" is a 2.5D fighting game developed by Arc Systems and published by Bandai Namco. It features the popular characters in the anime franchise going up against one another in three-person team battles using their martial art skills and powers. The game is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.

'Saiyan Saga' Goku and Vegeta coming to the roster

According to Nibel, Bandai Namco Entertainment will launch the normal versions of Son Goku and Vegeta to "Dragon Ball FighterZ" in early August. Gematsu reported that photos from the latest issue of V-Jump Magazine revealed that their appearances will base on "Dragon Ball Z's" first arc, "Saiyan Saga."

Base Goku's attacks include the Kaio-ken and the Super Spirit Bomb.

The Kaio-ken allows him to increase his physical strength and ki. When activated, Goku will perform consecutive attacks using a series of button combinations. When his allies are defeated in battle, his strength is increased in three or 20-fold.

The Super Spirit Bomb is Goku's most powerful attack, but he will need a powerful amount of energy to use it properly and the process is slow, making him vulnerable to attacks.

As for Base Vegeta, he has the Galick Gun and Galaxy Breaker. He can fire the Galick Gun on the ground or the air for destructive damage.

The Galaxy Breaker allows Vegeta to fire off a huge amount of energy from his body.

So far, the DLC characters from the game are Broly, Bardock, Fused Zamasu, and Vegito. The other season 1 characters are Cooler and Android 17.

There also rumors of a season 2 batch for the game and the characters in it are Master Roshi, Zarbon, Tapion, Gogeta, Raditz, Cabba, Videl with Great Saiyanman, and Kale with Caulifa.
