A lot has been said about "Fortnite Battle Royale" lately. Initially, we came to know about some bug in the game and then we were also informed about the launch of the mobile version of the game which is currently running in Beta version. And now to continue things further, "Fortnite Battle Royale" is all set to launch a new Weapon for the game. And it appears that the next weapon making its way into the game is going to be an absurd looking heavy shotgun.

The new weapon

Epic describes this new weapon as a shotgun with an increased range. It further claims that the weapon is gold and will be limited to the higher-end tiers. Speaking about the game, Shotguns are already famous in the game and are quite effective too.

They're divided between the faster-firing and longer-range Tactical Shotgun and the Pump Shotgun built for close-quarters combat. The Tactical Shotgun has been a constant favorite among players and is known for its long-range and high-damage output.

But apart from all this, the upcoming weapon will definitely be much better than the Tactical weapon. As we know, most shotguns deliver a one-hit kill in optimal conditions and therefore, this new weapon will definitely need some balancing if it's going to keep from becoming too dominant.

The launch

It's really interesting to see what Epic has in mind and we're sure they have come up with something which is better than before. For all those who are curious to know about the launch of the Heavy Shotgun, then let me tell you that the Heavy Shotgun will be arriving with a new update today (March 22).

Apart from its range, other major features are still to be disclosed and are delayed due to some non-specified reasons. With this, I also heard that some expansive replay feature is due soon on consoles and PC.

All this sounds pretty exciting, right? "Fortnite Battle Royale" is quite popular among the masses and a new weapon could actually act in the favor of Epic. Apart from the weapon, the users are also waiting for the game to arrive on the Android platform as for now it's just available on iOs platform. Invites to test the game have been sent to some users and they're further allowed to invite their friends to try the iOS version. Meanwhile, according to PCGamers, the game was developed in two months: “Two months in development launched on September 26.

So let’s do some math: Save the World, the PvE game, launched July 21. [Battle Royale] comes out September 26.”
