Spike Chunsoft just revealed more details about the upcoming game “Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates.” The developer shared new details regarding the game modes in the upcoming title. From the new details given, “Future Coordinates” will have more content than its predecessor game. What could fans of the series expect?

Story Mode

According to the developer, there will be two game modes in the upcoming title. Players of “Future Coordinates” can experience the game in either Story or World Mode.


Story Mode will allow players to enjoy the game in a narrative format. The players will find themselves smack dab in the middle of the story that will feature events that happened in both the original manga and anime adaptation of “Attack on Titan.” According to the developer, the game will also feature favorite soundtracks and cutscenes fans loved from the series. The story mode will follow the events that transpired in season 2 of the hit anime show.

Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates” Story Mode also boasts an array of characters to play.

The playable characters will range from Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Sasha Blouse, Levi Ackerman, and many others depending on each mission. Due to the changed storyline and expanded development in the series, there are more characters that will be participating on this new installment than the first game. This will make fans feel that they are enjoying the narrative right alongside their favorite character.

Spike Chunsoft added that “Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates” will have more “cinematic scenarios” than the first game. This will allow players to get to the heart of several characters featured in the anime and manga.


World Mode

Future Coordinates” will allow players to make their own character. In World Mode, players create their own persona and get really immersive with the environment. The personalized protagonist will have a lot of freedom that will give them an access to join scouting missions and even create their very own army and base. World mode is designed for players who want to immerse themselves in the world of “Attack on Titan.”

One of the features of the World mode is Base crafting. Players can make their own base using materials given after missions.

They can construct their own HQ however they want and make it as formidable as possible. Making a good base will serve as a good strategy for upcoming Titan attacks.

Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates” is based on the anime and manga called “Attack on Titan” by Hajime Isayama. The game will come out for the 3DS on November 30 in Japan.
