New details about another character coming to the 2.5D fighting game from Arc System Works surfaced recently. According to the latest news, one of the classic and iconic characters in the anime series “DBZ” could be making an appearance in “#Dragon Ball FighterZ.” With his absence in the Tournament of Power, fans would be happy to see #Yamcha in the fighting game.

Yamcha in the game

Recently, Bandai Namco Entertainment made several announcements about “#Dragon Ball FighterZ.” The company launched the trailer for Android 16, 17, and 18. It also revealed the game’s Story Mode [VIDEO], which is a departure from the Manga and Anime version of the series.

A few days later, it released the explosive trailer of the two character forms that will be released in the game, Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta.

It seems that there is no stopping the game publisher from releasing details about the game. A report from Destructoid reveals that there is a great chance that the fan-favorite character Yamcha might be making an appearance in the game. The report stems from a Twitter post of the voice actor for the character.

On his official Twitter account, voice actor Toru Furuya shared last June how he was so tired after several voice acting sessions as Yamcha. Fans were wondering what project he was working on back then and asked him a question. A fan recently asked about what that post was about. The voice actor was more than happy to respond that he was referring to a game that will be released in 2018.

He even gives the title of the game.

The statement from Toru Furuya is a confirmation that Yamcha will be in the game. However, there is no specific detail yet if the character will be playable or will just appear somewhere in the game like in the Story Mode.

Android 16

Meanwhile, Bandai Namco Entertainment released the gameplay breakdown trailer for Android 16. The video is supported by several gaming commentaries that guide the players in using the character. It looks like Android 16’s gameplay is slow and steady and involves grappling opponents while staying close to them. In addition, the video also shows one 16’s greatest move, the self-destruct grab. This will deal massive damage to the enemy and guarantees success if used correctly. The drawback to this move is that it will instantly turn Android 16’s energy to zero.
