More information about the upcoming 2.5D fighting game, “Dragon Ball FighterZ” from Arc System Works is now available. This includes four new playable characters and a unique Story Mode. The latest game details are confirmed from the latest issue of Jump magazine.

Four new playable characters

Android 18 and Android 16 join the roster of playable character in the much-awaited 2.5D fighting game from Bandai Namco and Arc System Works. Android 18 is the wife of Krillin in “DB Super.” Android 16 is the gentle giant among the androids created by Dr.


Gero. He is the 16th son or creation of the mad doctor who founded the Red Ribbon Army to destroy Goku in the Z anime series.

Aside from these two new playable characters, fans will also be able to get their hands on Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta. These two new character forms will also be available when the fighting title finally releases.

Roster of playable fighters

There are already nine characters previously confirmed to be playable in “Dragon Ball FighterZ.” Three villains will join the Z fighters in the game.

They are the super villain Freiza, Cell, and Majin Buu. The Saiyans who are already confirmed to be in the game includes the fan-favorite Saiyan, Goku. He is joined by his son, the scholar and Mystic Warrior Gohan. The Prince of Saiyans and Bulma’s husband Vegeta is also confirmed to be in the game. Moreover, the fan-favorite version Future Trunks is also in the game. Other Z fighters who are confirmed to be playable in the upcoming 2.5D game includes the Namekian and super powerful Piccolo who is also Gohan’s mentor. Android 18’s husband Krillin and Goku’s best friend is also a playable character in the game.


Story Mode

The Story Mode of the upcoming game will be unique according to the latest issue of Shonen Jump magazine. Unlike other games, this title will shy away from the manga and anime story. Instead, it will introduce the story of the revived Android 16. Interestingly, the story mode will have the super warrior defeated by an unknown force. In Todd Blankenship’s interpretation, he shared that the enemy will be a mysterious army that looks the same as Goku and his friends.

Dragon Ball FighterZ” is expected to be released in the early part of 2018.

So far, Bandai Namco has not yet provided any specific timeline for the release of the title. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
