Bandai Namco Entertainment shared more details about “Dragon Ball FighterZ” at the Gamescom 2017 in Germany. The announcement includes Pre-order details and the opening of the game’s Closed Beta registration. Moreover, a new trailer is launched that advertises the Collector’s Edition of the upcoming 2.5D fighting title.

Closed Beta details

The registration for the Closed Beta of “Dragon Ball FighterZ” is now open for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. The Beta is scheduled to release between September 16 and 17.


For Xbox One users, they can visit the Xbox Insider Program and sign up for the Beta. On the other hand, PlayStation 4 users can register by going to Banda Namco Entertainment’s website.

There are steps that PS4 players will have to follow to be able to sign up. The game’s Closed Beta registration was initially scheduled on July 26 and was announced during the tournament Evo. However, Bandai Namco Entertainment postponed it to expand the closed beta.

The game publisher’s official site has already listed the Closed Beta schedule for PlayStation 4.

In the US, the first session will start between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on September 16. The next session will start at 10:00 Am and will run until 1:00 PM. The last session is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM and will run until 9:00 PM (PST). On September 17, the Beta will only be available between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

For players in Europe, the first session will start at 1:00 PM and will run until 4:00 PM Central Standard Time.

The second session will be available between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (CST).


The third session will start 3:00 AM and will last until 6:00 on September 17. It will be followed by the last session that will start at 10:00 PM until 1:00 AM of the next day. For players in Asia, particularly in Japan, the first session will start on September 16 at 6: 00 PM and will run until 9:00 PM. The second session will be on September 17 and will start at 2:00 AM until 5:00 AM. On September 17, the third session will be between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The last session will start at 5:00 AM until 8:00 of the next day.

Collector’s Edition and Pre-order bonus

Meanwhile, the game’s Collector’s Edition will be available at $139.99. The pack will include the base game. It will also come with a 7” statue of Goku with exclusive Manga Dimension coloring. Fans will also get an exclusive Steelbook and three art boards. Aside from that, a CollectorZ box will be provided that will house the items mentioned earlier.

Players who will pre-order the game will get a boxed version and will include two early unlockable characters.


These are the SSGSS Goku and the SSGSS Vegeta earlier confirmed by the Shonen Jump magazine. In addition, players will also get a couple of exclusive lobby avatars as a bonus.
