Nebraska football has a special weapon in quarterback Adrian Martinez. While the odds are longer than some, he appears to be a real contender for the Heisman contender. He's also in line to compete for the best quarterback title in the entire Big 10. Now yet another national analyst has named the QB, who is only a true sophomore as one of the best quarterbacks in the entire country.
Among the 10 best
The football analyst known only as Total CFB put out his ranking of the best quarterbacks in the country. Adrian Martinez came in at number nine. When looking at that list, it's obvious that he could finish quite a bit higher. That field is strong, but he's already shown he's up to the challenge.

Adrian Martinez: Human highlight reel
Despite being just a true freshman a year ago, the Nebraska football quarterback had some truly memorable plays in his first season in Lincoln. A second year in Scott Frost's offense would seem to only improve his odds of moving into the spotlight.
In rarified air
When it comes to the list of Top 10 quarterbacks, one thing stands out for the Husker quarterback. He's one of only two underclassmen on the list. Trevor Lawrence is the only other quarterback listed who was a true freshman in 2018.
Trevor Lawrence not only enjoys the college football model, he fundamentally believes in it, too. That’s why sitting out to protect his future draft stock is simply not an option. https://t.co/dBiwr3tgfU

The greatest ever?
While Adrian Martinez has already been tagged as one of the best in the country, his head coach wants you to know he thinks the sophomore could be viewed as one of the best to ever play at Nebraska before it's all said and done.
Scott Frost says he hopes Adrian Martinez eventually leaves Nebraska as the greatest quarterback to ever play at the school. "From the moment I met him, I knew he was special."

Some names shouldn't be on the list
While the Nebraska football quarterback is on the list, he might be a bit low. Players like Justin Fields and Jalen Hurts are on new teams because they couldn't win the starting job at Georgia and Alabama. To have them in the Top 10 ahead of Adrian Martinez, who has shown what he can do as a starting quarterback.
How is Justin Fields fitting in for Ohio State? What is reasonable to expect of the new quarterback heading into spring camp with the Buckeyes?@LettermenRow Question of the Day: https://t.co/SW4F90BnkB
