The Kansas Chiefs managed to dominate the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday 31-13 and there were several key aspects that contributed to KC's return after a long hiatus to the AFC championship game.
Chiefs bottled up Andrew Luck
Andrew Luck had a fantastic comeback season in 2018. That comeback ended abruptly against a previously maligned Chiefs defense. He completed just 19 of 36 passes for 203 yards and one TD.
Chiefs got up early
Kansas City opened a 17-0 lead in the first half. That forced the Colts to become a one dimensional team early on. That took Marlon Mack out of the game and let the Chiefs roll to victory.
Surprise attack from Damien Williams
Damien Williams had three carries before December. He rushed for 100 yards exactly once all season. Then he exploded for 129 yards and a touchdown while catching five passes for 25 yards.
Cheetah strikes
Tyreek Hill, the man better known as Cheetah showed off his speed numerous times on Saturday. Not only did he have eight catches for 72 yards but he also had one carry for 36 yards and a touchdown. Hill is a weapon few teams have these days, and the Chiefs demonstrated over and over why he's deadly.
Kelce keeps cruising
The Chiefs' tight end had 103 catches this season. He had seven more on Saturday for 108 yards. It's starting to look like he's the league's most dominant tight end.
