Wanting to go home when you're living in Germany can be costly. The same goes for those who desire to travel to Europe. Traveling the world always sounds great when you're just talking about it, but when you actually decide to do it, the cost can make you change your mind. The site has a German URL, but you can still access it while in the U.S. So far it has been the cheapest site for a flight to the U.S. The price does increase the longer you wait, but if you are sure of when you want to go, then the price will be cheaper the sooner you decide to book the flight.
When booking a flight to the states from Germany, it will only cost around $1,200 for two people. I've heard of others paying $1,800 for two people. The travel agency in Germany has quoted some people at as much as $900 per person to fly to the states. These are all roundtrip flights too, so they account for the flight to Germany as well. This is why I recommend this site any time you are thinking about Traveling to Europe.

I discussed the app Skyscanner in another article I wrote about traveling. However, it is also a great app when thinking about traveling from the U.S. to Europe. It provides the option of even selecting a departing airport and then choosing everywhere as the destination. It will show the cheapest flights available to any country that you have been thinking about visiting.
You do not hear much about this app in the U.S.; in fact, I didn't hear about it until I was in Germany for about three months. However, the prices are unimaginably cheap, and the app should be more popular—not only in Europe but in the US as well. There are so many options to choose from if you're planning a spontaneous trip, or even if you already know where you want to go.
The best part of this app is that you can also look at hotel prices and rental cars all in the same place. Imagine not having to search anywhere else for your trip. That's what Skyscanner offers. Go ahead and book your flight, then get the best deal on a hotel room, and while you're at it, rent your car for the trip.
