On December 19, 12 people were killed and 48 injured after a tractor-trailer drove into the crowded Christmas market. The driver in that incident was named as Anis Amri and was later killed in a police shootout in Milan, Italy. In that case, Amri, failed Tunisian asylum-seeker, had pledged allegiance to ISIS and was seen in a video that had been posted to the ISIS-affiliated website Amaq.
