Oneplus started the trend of launching two smartphones in 2016. The company first announced OnePlus 3 in July, followed by OnePlus 3T in November. The same is expected to take place this year, though the Chinese giant hasn’t made any official confirmation. According to a new report by Tech Radar, the alleged OnePlus 5T has been leaked in the form of a teaser image.

Everything you need to know

The image was first provided by Android Authority, which claimed that a “trusted source” shared this picture with them. Since the picture is dark and artsy by nature, there isn’t much that one can decipher about the key details of the smartphone.

On the basis of previous speculations, the handset won’t feature any significant differences in comparison to its sibling. The image, however, indicates that OnePlus 5T may arrive with thinner front panel bezels. The Fingerprint Scanner on the front side is also missing. It is, therefore, assumed that the feature might be shifted to the rear panel of the smartphone. One can’t exactly judge the dimensions of the smartphone, but a vague judgment will probably be that the smartphone will carry the 18:9 Aspect Ratio. If this turns out to be true, then the size will be the first major difference between OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. The details about OnePlus 5T surfaced on Chinese social media website, Weibo on Saturday, October 21.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835

The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip, which is the same as OnePlus 5. The handset will include a dual rear camera setup. Many of the other features will remain the same as OnePlus 5. The Chinese giant is in talks with Google about providing the latest Oreo update directly out of the box, but there are a lot of exclusive additions that OnePlus does by itself.

Therefore, it may take time for the company to provide the update. Moreover, if they were prepared with the Oreo update, then they would probably end up launching it on OnePlus 5. The company is hoping to release the smartphone next month. The pricing detail hasn't been discussed yet. On the basis of past record, the price won’t be significantly high in comparison to OnePlus 5.

Fans are hoping to see the provision of an expandable microSD card slot option with OnePlus 5 T. This has been a major concern for smartphone users since the launch. Individuals these days require an abundance of space on their devices.
