Huawei will hold an event on October 16, and speculations suggest that the company might unveil the Mate 10 Pro. Weeks ahead of its launch, the handset was leaked by Evan Blass (@evleaks) on Twitter last weekend, and the front and back panels of the handset were revealed. Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro is among the top most-awaited flagship phones of 2017.

The model will probably arrive in three primary colors: Blue, Black, and Brown. Moreover, the handset comes with a dual rear camera setup powered by Leica’s technology. The fingerprint scanner is located on the rear panel, right below the camera module.The phone will also be available in the US and compete with the iPhone X Galaxy S8.

Huawei’s CEO has posted a direct challenge to Apple, stating that their Mate 10 line-up will easily take on iPhone X. The Chinese company has a long history of launching phones in the US.

According to a report by Tech Radar, the smartphone’s camera will probably come packed with a 20-megapixel and a 12-megapixel sensor. The front camera is speculated to be of 8-megapixel. Huawei Mate 10 Pro’s front panel packs a bezel-less design. The report suggests that Huawei is planning on following Samsung and Apple’s footsteps. Samsung introduced its Galaxy S8 back in February this year.

Apple unveiled its iPhone X earlier last month. Both these offerings came with edge-to-edge display.

On the basis of previous leaks, the 10 Pro is expected to feature a 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset will carry a widescreen just like most of its other competitors do.
