Huawei’s upcoming handsets under the Mate brand have been subjected to numerous leaks. The regular Mate 10 handset leaked online for the first time in September and the Mate 10 Lite followed suit. The leaked renders of the Mate 10 showed off the handset with a 5.9-inch screen, as well as a rear-mounted dual-camera setup. The leaked renders of the Mate 10 Lite also displayed the same features. After these two leaks, reliable tipster Evan Blass – also known as @evleaks - shared the renders of the Mate 10 Pro on Twitter.

Is this really the Mate 10?

Blass shared the renders of the alleged Mate 10 Pro via Twitter on October 1.

The render shows the front and the back of the upcoming handset. From the front, one can see it has a 5.99-inch display screen with a resolution of 2880 × 1440 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and shows negligible side bezels, giving the screen a wide area.

The top and bottom bezels are also quite thin. While the top houses the earpiece in the center and the selfie camera on the right, the huawei logo can be seen etched on the center of the bottom bezel. Apart from the logo, the bottom bezel does not house any more features of the smartphone.

The circular fingerprint sensor has been placed on the rear panel of the handset.

Apart from the Touch ID, the back panel also houses the Mate 10 Pro’s dual camera setup, which comes with a Leica branding. The two rear-mounted cameras - along with the LED flash - are placed on the top center of a horizontal strip, which is a lighter hue compared to the rear panel’s color.

While the Leica-branded LED flash is placed on the left of the rear panel, the sensor is on the right. According to publication Android and Me, the dual rear cameras are said to come with 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors. Apart from that, it is also rumored that the rear-dual cameras will also come with Optical Image Stabilization and f/1.6 aperture.

The publication also claims that an 8-megapixel sensor will grace the front camera.

Rumored specs and features

Rumors hint that the Mate 10 Pro will be powered by a Kirin 970 processor and will also come with IP68 dust and water resistance certification. The handset is also speculated to come with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage, with memory expansion capability via a microSD card of up to 128 GB. It is also expected that the device will come pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo with an EMUI 6.0 customized skin on top.
