Huawei is gearing up to launch its Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones and in the meantime, the popular Chinese handset maker is leaving no stone unturned in a bid to build the hype around the upcoming devices.

The company has been regularly dropping hints in the form of multiple posts on Weibo. In one of the posts on the popular Chinese microblogging website, Huawei spilled the beans about the Android version that the new Mate handsets run on.

What to expect?

Huawei has also shed more light on the speculated stylus support for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, which according to a report from NDTV Gadgets could be the premium model among the two upcoming devices.

Additionally, the company has revealed that the device will run on Google's latest mobile OS (operating system), Android Oreo out of the box. The website also points to a possibility that the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, which is slated to release along with the aforesaid phone might also run Android 8.0 at launch.

During the launch on Monday, October 16, Huawei is likely to introduce a brand new EMUI version, which is the company's adaptation of Android.

Details revealed in a new video teaser

The recently surfaced video teaser doesn't reveal a lot of details except that the devices will run on Android 8.0 Oreo. According to the company's Weibo's post, Android O system offers users a relatively better Android experience.

The teaser also invites smartphone enthusiasts to witness the robust amalgamation on October 16 in Munich, Germany. More hints are likely to surface online ahead of the much-awaited launch. MySmartPrice was the first to notice Huawei's Weibo post.

A leaked image showing stylus support for the Pro was recently shared by tech tipster Evan Blass in the form a tweet.

On further inspection, it looks like Huawei might collaborate with Moleskine for the device's Smart Writing Set.

The Smart Writing Set stylus was noticeably visible at the back of the Mate 10 Pro in the image shared by Blass. Could this be the Chinese firm's attempt to take on Samsung's Galaxy Note 8? We will soon be able to find that out.

On the photography front, the image shows the Huawei Mate 10 Pro will feature a rear-mounted dual camera sensors setup with Leica branding.

If recently surfaced leaks come to fruition, the Pro version will boast an "EntireView" QHD display with 1440x2880 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will have a screen size of 5.99-inches. There's also word floating around that the device will be introduced in four configurations including 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 6GB RAM/256GB storage, 6GB RAM/128GB storage, and 6GB RAM/64GB storage.

The phones are expected to launch in Europe ahead of the USA.
