The Apple iPhone 8 is a widely-anticipated device that is set to debut soon, though the actual release date is still a mystery. However, as is the case before every iPhone release, people are talking, making their wishes public about what they want from the upcoming Apple device.

The feature that will get fans most excited

A poll by SurveyMonkey about what iPhone 8 features fans are most excited about, has revealed some very interesting details. While waterproofing was the most desired feature in the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone, the latest poll indicated that Apple fans are most excited about wireless charging with 47.53 percent rooting for the feature.

This feature is the most overlooked in case of Android devices, and this is exactly what most iOS users would like to see. 44 percent of the respondents wanted faster charging, which is interesting too, as the current iPhone charges really fast, mainly because of the shorter battery capacity.

Camera upgrade wanted

About 41.56 percent of the respondents want an updated camera. This is still sensible as Apple has tough competition on the camera front from other users, and whatever the Cupertino tech giant does with the camera to make it better, will make the iPhone better than others. The current Apple phone has been mildly criticized on the low light performance front.

Pricing issues

There was yet another shocker in store where 43 percent of the respondents said that they would not purchase the iPhone 8 if it is too expensive.

However, it is not yet clear how much is too much for Apple fans, as all iPhones are expensive. Are they referring to the $1,000 price tag?

The AR dream

Augmented Reality (AR) is also another top-voted feature. Those who have been lucky enough to see the ARKit demos have been eagerly waiting for the feature to be incorporated into the Apple iPhone 8.

The smartphone maker unveiled the AR toolset as part of its iOS 11 OS. Undoubtedly, it is a major upgrade over pretty much anything else that came before it.

The best part about the ARKit apps is that users do not require additional hardware to use them. Instead, they can simply use their iPad and iPhone cameras to start enjoying.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 7S, its Plus version, and iPhone X are all set to be revealed. The X version will have will have wireless charging and a new OLED screen.
