Samsung officially announced on Monday that Galaxy S8 Active, their newest smartphone will be available soon. According to reports, Samsung’s newest and probably toughest smartphone will initially be released exclusively to AT&T but only for a short period of time. It was available for preorder on Tuesday and will be released in full on Friday.

Samsung is due to release an Active version of its flagship, the Galaxy S series, and fans are excited that the company pulled it off this year. Critics are eager to find out if it really conforms to the leaked details of the phone which were absolutely stellar.

Active is a smartphone bound in a metal frame with a bumper on its corner to shield it from rocks and any hard objects. The back cover also has a rugged, tough texture for a very manageable grip of the device. It also features a voice assistant in the home screen called “Bixby” and quick access to the stopwatch, barometer and flashlight, making it very useful for people engaged in outdoor activities.

Added feature and specs of Galaxy S8 Active

This latest smartphone comes in two vibrant colors, meteor grey and titanium gold. As the new handset’s specs were revealed, critics noticed that it matches that of the leaked details. Its internal composition could really be amazing carrying all the high-end hardware from the standard Galaxy S8.

It also potentially includes a Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.

As a tougher version of S8, it would be clear how durable it could be compared to the rest. All of the clumsy people who would hate taking too much care with their smartphone will absolutely love Galaxy S8 Active. Active is shatter-resistant, dust-resistant and water-resistant up to five feet of depth up to 30 minutes.

It also features a 5.8-inch super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

Galaxy S8 debuts with a larger battery

Aside from its processor, it also possess a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front cam. What stuns the audience most is its very commendable battery life which is at a 4,000 mAh life. It relatively larger than that of S8 at 3,000 mAh and S8 Plus at 3,500 mAh.

Active has passed military specification testing and is totally geared toward users who are working in, or involved in tough outdoor activities. It is also designed to replace vulnerable devices as it is equipped with more rugged material rather than the thin glass back of the standard version.
