One of the most sought-after devices on 2017 is undoubtedly Samsung’s upcoming smartphone. The South-Korean technology giant is expected to introduce the device on 23rd August at its scheduled ‘Unpacked’ event. While, fans wait for the arrival of the launch-date, the supposed final design and specifications of the device have surfaced online. The source of the leak is the ever-famous Evan Blass aka @evleaks from Venture Beat, who took to his official Twitter platform on 2nd August to release the alleged specifications of the upcoming flagship smartphone.

What are the final specifications set to arrive in Galaxy Note 8?

According to what Evan Blass posted, the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone is going to feature a 6.3-inch Dual-Curved Super AMOLED display with 2,960 x 1,880 pixels resolution. The smartphone, as per most impending rumors, is expected to be slightly larger than the Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone. That would make sense as the Note 8 falls in the tablet category, and will be accompanied with a stylus pen as well. Blass also revealed that the smartphone will come with an IP68 certification, thereby making the device both, dust and water resistant. In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy Note 8 will measure 162.5 mm x 74.6 mm x 8.5 mm, which makes it slightly thicker than its sibling devices – Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

No other information apart from this, has been revealed by Evan Blass as of yet.

Price of the device

However, previous rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip. While, many reports hinted that the device might pack the Snapdragon 836 – it looks far from happening as Qualcomm hasn’t announced the launch of the same.

Another variant of the flagship might be powered by the Exynos 9610 CPU. On the storage front, the device is further speculated to offer 6GB of Ram complimented by 64GB of internal storage as well.

The smartphone is also expected to come along with a dual rear camera setup with two 12-megapixels sensors and an 8-megapixel front shooter with Auto Focus as well.

Samsung is also heavily-rumored to pack the Wireless Charging technology along with its Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. The device will house a decent 3,300mAh battery as Samsung wants to stay on the safer side with its battery this year. The smartphone is expected to cost around $900 – making the phablet among the priciest offerings made by Samsung till date.
