The next few weeks are going to be quite busy in the handset universe. Wherein, Samsung will introduce its highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8 during the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York City on August 23. Even though the date is three weeks away, but what appeared to be the final specs of the smartphone have been leaked in full by the popular tech leaker, Evan Blass.

As reported by Venture Beat, the Galaxy Note 8 will come along with a colossal 6.3-inch dual curved Super AMOLED display, which will make the device marginally bigger compared to the 6.2-inch screen of Galaxy S8 Plus.

Nonetheless, the upcoming Samsung phablet will have the same resolution like the Galaxy S8 series, 2960 x 1880 pixels and 18:5:9 aspect ratio.

According to Phone Arena, Samsung’s impending smartphone would measure 162.5 x 74.6 x 8.5 mm in size, which will be larger and thicker than the S8 Plus. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will arrive with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The mobile device will further come packed with a 3300mAh battery with fast charging as well as a wireless charging feature.

The smartphone is powered by the Samsung Exynos 8895 processor globally, but in the U.S., the device will be available with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip (SoC). With both processors employing the tech giant’s 10nm FinFET fabrication process, the performance between the Note 8 and S8 should be comparable.

However, the forthcoming smartphone will come with a 6GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.

Camera specs

On the camera front, the mobile device will boast a rear dual camera system, consisting of two 12MP snappers. This makes the Galaxy Note 8 to be the first handset of the company to arrive with a dual camera setup.

Nonetheless, one of the camera on the dual camera system will have f/1.7 aperture and an optical image stabilization, while the second camera will have a f/2.4 aperture with 2X optical zoom.

Nevertheless, in terms of connectivity, the smartphone is expected to be equipped with a USB-C connectivity and 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy Note 8 will also have an improved iris scanner, S Pen stylus, and a built-in Bixby AI assistant.

The device will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Price and color of the device

The smartphone is expected to have two color options, Midnight Black and Maple Gold, but Orchid Gray and Deep Sea Blue are expected in the future. The mobile device is expected to have a $1,000 price tag.
