Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei took to the official Chinese social media platform, Weibo to post a teaser video of the next iteration of its Nova 2 Plus smartphone that the company plans on launching. The latest one seems to come in a special ‘Silver’ color variant, which makes the Nova 2 Plus smartphone really stand out in the crowd. In the video clipping, one can see a beautiful girl holding the Silver colored Nova 2 Plus smartphone and the design-level of the same is greatly showed off when her reflection on the smartphone is highlighted through the video.

In other words, the smartphone is going to come built with a traditional glass mirror, which essentially raises a lot of questions such as whether the device will be scratchproof and shatterproof? While such concerns worry the minds of the public, it seems like Huawei is going to be following Xiaomi’s footsteps as even the Chinese technology giant carried out the same deed through its Mi 6 smartphone, which they launched earlier this year.

It still remains unclear whether the Huawei's upcoming smartphone packs up a metal-body or not, or whether the device is purely made out of glass. Unfortunately, Huawei did not specify the same with the launch of the teaser video. At the time of the launch of the device, Huawei introduced only five primary colors namely, Rose Gold, Streamer Gold, Green, Aurora Blue, and Obsidian Black; however, all of these arrived sporting a metal body.

The smartphone falls in the mid-range segment and comes packed with decent specifications at an affordable price-tag.

Powered by octa-core Kirin 659

As far as the specifications of the upcoming Nova 2 Plus smartphone is concerned, the device sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and is further powered by Huawei’s octa-core Kirin 659 system-on-chip coupled with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU for graphics.

On the storage front, the device offers 4GB of RAM alongside 128GB of internal storage, wherein users have the option of expanding the memory up to 256GB if they’d like via the device’s microSD card-slot option.

Price of the smartphone

The primary highlights of the smartphone are its camera specifications as the device comes packed with a dual rear camera setup with one 12-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor along with a 20-megapixel front shooter. The smartphone also houses a 3,340mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top. The device is available for purchase at a starting price of $370.
