There are a lot of rumors and speculations surrounding the upcoming nokia 8 smartphone, which is expected to be launched sometime this month. While HMD Global-backed Nokia prepares for the introduction of its upcoming flagship smartphone, there are several reports that emerged in the recent past suggests that the device might Run on the yet-to-be introduced, Android O update. Google gave a glimpse into its 2017 software operating system at its I/O conference that concluded a couple of backs. However, at that time, it wasn’t specified whether the search-giant will be deploying its updates for non-Google branded devices as well.

The company began by rolling out the developer preview of its latest software operating system. If this turns out to be true, then Nokia 8 might become the first Android-based smartphone to come with Android O update out-of-the-box.

Specs and features

Online publication, KnowYourMobile posted a report recently that suggested the above-given statement. Apart from this, it is also known that the upcoming smartphone may be launched by Nokia during an event held on August 16th. Experts have assumed this because the Finland-based technology giant has already started sending out invites for its forthcoming events to the media. Therefore, it has been assumed that the smartphone manufacturer might take this opportunity to launch its Android O update.

Apart from this, it is also well-known that the upcoming Nokia flagship smartphone is going to sport a dual rear camera setup, powered by the Carl Zeiss technology. Apart from this, on the basis of the recent spotting made on Geekbench's database, suggests that the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip.

On the storage front, the smartphone will be carrying 4GB of RAM alongside 64GB of internal storage. Not much is known about this front, however; there are many reports that even claim that the smartphone might also come in a special 6GB RAM option as well.

Device might sport Android A

Coming back to the report that claims that Nokia 8 smartphone might pack the latest Android O update, it seems highly unlikely that this turns out to be true.

Google is usually known to prefer to debut its latest Android operating systems with its own smartphones at first. Given that the search giant won’t be unveiling its speculated Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones before October or November at the very least, one can’t expect the update to officially roll-out before that either.
