nokia 8 Rumors have been doing the rounds for quite some time. Recently Nokia launched the brand new Nokia 3310 at Mobile World Congress. It was at the same event where Nokia announced that users can soon expect Nokia 8 to hit the markets. Nokia is preparing to enter the high-end flagship smartphone market. Nokia 8 will go head-to-head with other flagship devices like Apple iPhone 9 and samsung galaxy S8.

Rumored specs and features

The device might feature a 5.3-inch display with 2560 x 1400 pixels resolution apparently. There will be two variants based on the RAM capacity - 4GB and 6GB.

Rumors suggest that it will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset – which is the most powerful chipset in the market right now. It will probably come with a dual camera setup with both the front as well as the back camera having 13 megapixels. Android Nougat has already hit the markets so the users are expecting nothing less. It will probably feature Android Nougat 7.1.1 – which is the latest version of the OS.

Design and Performance Rumors

With the features mentioned above, we think Nokia flagship will aim towards a premium finish. It won’t be surprising if Nokia 8 comes in a full metal design. Some experts believe that keeping up with its “sturdy” image (hint: Nokia 3310), this phone will also come with IP68 water and dust protection feature.

Evan Bass in his new tweet “leaked” the true body of Nokia 8. If this leaked image is correct then the phone in its blue body looks a bit dated. It looks next to Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 and won’t wow you at the first sight. However, unlike these two devices, Nokia 8 will reportedly have a near-stock Android version. This means that you can experience a Moto G-like performance.

It might also be free of bloatware.

If the above features are not shocking enough, the name would surely be. This phone is not coming from Nokia – it shall be the first of the lot from HMD Global. The company took the rights from Nokia and is operating under the execs of former Nokia. It will need a huge carrier support if it has to do good business overseas.

However, the Nokia enthusiasts might have to wait to see how it truly turns out until the end. We have already seen that the leaked photo of the model shows some large display bezels. While Galaxy S8 and other phones are aiming towards an infinite display mode, this could become a deal breaker for Nokia 8. As far as the other features are concerned, it is expected to come with Carl Zeiss Optics but won't feature Nokia PureView. There is also a matter of concern here for the camera because Apple already hired most of Nokia’s photography experts.
