HMD Global-backed nokia is expected to introduce its flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8 sometime this month. The rumor-mill depicting major specifications of the upcoming smartphone has been emerging online since quite a few months now. The latest one is in the form of three real-life images, and a listing confirming the majority of the specifications that have already been rumored to come packed in the device. The leak seems to have appeared on the Chinese social media application, WeChat and confirms that the upcoming smartphone is going to come packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip.

Powered by Snapdragon 835

As can be recalled, Nokia 8 has already been in reports for being rumored to be powered by the flagship processor, the Snapdragon 835. It has also been reported that this will further be accompanied with eight Kyro 280 cores, clocked at a maximum frequency of 1.9GHz along with Adreno 540 for graphics purposes. The smartphone has on numerous occasions, been speculated to feature a 5.25-inch QHD display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution. The device will possibly be sporting 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage, with an expandable up to 128GB storage option. If reports are believed to be true, then the smartphone will come with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system right out-of-the-box.

Apart from this, the smartphone is also expected to come sporting a dual rear camera setup with the camera technology being supplied by Carl Zeiss.

Specs and features

Nokia is also reportedly working on introducing its 2 and 9 smartphones. While Nokia 2 is expected to fall in the budget category, and will probably come with mid-range, basic features, the Nokia 9 smartphone is heavily rumored to come along with high-end specifications, which will put the device in direct competition with other leading flagship smartphones including OnePlus 5, iPhone 8, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 and the yet-to-be announced Google Pixel 2 and XL 2.

Samsung is also going to be holding an event on 23rd August, wherein they will be seen unveiling their Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. Following which, the Cupertino technology giant will be debuting its 10th-anniversary iPhone 8 smartphone in September. Google will be among the last to launch their flagship smartphones, Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. It remains to be seen what exactly will take place next since none of the above-given rumors and speculations have been confirmed by the company as of yet.
