Based on a couple of Nokia 8’s benchmark tests, the flagship smartphone appears to be the beast in the imaging department. The GFX Bench result of the handset showed off a 12MP Carl Zeiss rear dual camera setup. Nonetheless, a new GeekBench listing showcased the mobile device running Android 8.0 software build.

Nokia 8 Android smartphone running the Android 8.0 software build suggests that the handset would be the first smartphone with Google's latest mobile operating system. However, according to BGR, it is unclear whether Nokia’s flagship mobile device will run Android O out of the box. But, as the smartphone would be unveiled on August 16, while Google’s operating system will likely release around the same time, the Nokia 8 would likely roll out with the OS.

Specs of the smartphone

The Nokia 8 is expected to arrive with three variants, with each of the models will boast different amounts of RAM. All of the variants will come along with a 3,800mAh battery, with support for quick charging technology.

Handset’s color variants

Industry experts are expecting the smartphone to be made available in five color options, Blue, Black, Copper and Copper-Gold. The Finnish company has yet to announce whether all variants will be sold across the globe. Based on the recently leaked renders, the branding of Nokia is spotted on both sides of the mobile device. Several insiders claimed that the Nokia 8 will be IP68-certified.
