Chinese tech giant Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone, the Mi 6c is coming soon. The device was recently spotted online. Xiaomi revealed the Mi 6 in April, and the smartphone is known as an upgraded Version of Mi 5. The device will fall in the mid-category smartphone market segment. It will compete with the Samsung J7 and other mid-segment phones. Oppo and OnePlus are also trying to gain a share in the market segment especially in the countries like China and India.

The Mi 6C would get an autogenous Surge S2 chipset. Based on the Xiaomi’s Mi 6, it will have an aluminum body with sleek bezels and somewhat thicker profile when compared to forerunner Mi 6 which is analogous to the Mi 5C that came previously this year.

Xiaomi Mi 6C is anticipated to be a lighter version of the Xioami’s frontrunner Mi 6.

Overall specs of the smartphone

The side bezels on the mobile are 2.5mm wide and the topmost bezels might be as small as 10mm. The front is enclosed by 2.5D glass and there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone’s greatest evident point will undoubtedly be Xiaomi’s own octa-core chipset the Surge S2 processor. This compressor encompasses four Cortex A73 cores and Cortex A53 cores attached to Mali-G71MP12 GPU. Anyhow, the home button is retained, and at the same place where the thumbprint sensor will be held apparently. In addition to that, the dual speaker grids and the USB Type-C port are located at the foot of the smartphone.

Price of the device

The camera only seems to be unaccompanied – the black booth exactly positioned next to the LED flash is actually the 5MP secondary camera. The key 12MP camera will come with Sony IMX386 sensor, providing Optical Image Stabilization. Though there is no dual camera system at the rear, and only one key sensor is placed at the top left accompanied by the flash module, the location of the sensor, near to the flash, creates speculation about the legitimacy of these updates.

The internal storage is going to be 64/128GB with 4/6 GB RAM. Speaking of the pricing, the 64GB phone will be valued at around $300 equal to the 128GB option’s $330 Yuan price tag. As mentioned above, the device will sport a Surge S2 processor, based on the ongoing rumors hitting the news. Surge 2 is the second generation of the internal processor that Xiaomi designed to compete with tech giants’ (Samsung and Apple), custom-designed processors. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
