Motorola launched its Moto Z2 Force Edition on July 25 despite rumors stating that the Lenovo-owned company would be unveiling two other smartphones namely the Moto X4 and G5S Plus on the same date. For the unfamiliar, the G5S Plus is the upgraded model of the G5 Plus. While speculations were rife that the X4 might get a launch date during Q4 2017, there is no news about the release of the G5S Plus. The latest leaks pertaining to the G5S Plus reveals the color options the smartphone may come in.

Leakster confirms three color options for the Moto G5S

The Indian Express revealed that reliable leakster Evan Blass has shared the renders of the rumored G5S Plus along with the full-color palette that will be available for the smartphone upon release. Blass took to Twitter to share the detailed renders of the mid-range offering from Motorola. However, there is an inconsistency in the latest render leak and past rumors. Earlier rumors suggested that the handset would be sporting a gold back and a gold front. However, this color option is absent from the press renders of the handset, which Blass shared on Twitter.

The Leaked image of the G5S Plus shared by Blass, revealed the smartphone may be coming in three colors.

These options are: Rose Gold with White Front, all gray, and silver with white front. He shared the image while responding to a query from a Twitter user on whether he had any more information or tips to share on the impending Motorola handset.

Neither of these smartphones is an entirely new entity for Motorola, nor an old one.

The predecessors of the rumored smartphone duo - the original G5 and the G5 Plus were launched in March this year. One may ask why Lenovo-owned Motorola is trying to come up with an upgrade within such a short time span? Speculations are rife that Lenovo is trying to market the rumored smartphone duo as special iterations of the original G5 and G5 Plus.

Rumored features and specs of the smartphone

Motorola has been unusually tight-lipped regarding the special editions of the smartphones. While little is known about the G5S, some specs and features of the G5S Plus have trickled out over time. Rumors state that the most highlighted feature of the G5S Plus handset is its dual-rear camera setup consisting of two 13-megapixel sensors. In terms of other enhancements, the device is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch display, which is an upgrade from the Moto G5 Plus’ 5.2-inch screen size.

It remains to be seen if the impending handset will catch the consumers' fancy.
