Google earlier this year confirmed that they are indeed working on new successors to their last year’s Pixel and Pixel Xl devices. However, there are still a few months to go until the final launch of these devices but there already seem to be protective cases for the same available online for purchase.

Just recently, four distinctive protective covers for the alleged Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones have emerged online on the e-commerce platform, Amazon. It is interesting and strange that while Google hasn’t made mention of any of the specifications of the upcoming smartphone, these protective cases are based on the number of leaks and speculations that have emerged online regarding the smartphone.

On the basis of the protective cases of Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, many of the speculations regarding the Pixel 2 have been confirmed as well. It seems like the smartphone might come packed with a bezel-less design. The screen size and the camera setup specifications of the smartphone have also been suggested. It seems like the display will probably carry an 18:9 aspect ratio and may sport a Full Vision display – just like the one found in LG G6. That would make a lot of sense as the prevailing reports have been indicating that LG is going to serve as one of the manufacturers of Google’s flagship devices this year.

Price of the case

According to Android Headlines, the protective casings are available on Amazon for pre-order for $7.99.

Three different manufacturers including LK, MicroP, and Starhemei are making the products available for purchase. The casings also have a distinctive cutout placed on the bottom. Therefore, the smartphone might be carrying the 3.5mm headphone jack. This goes on to refute all the previous rumors that stated that Google might be going Apple’s way, in terms of eliminating the 3.5mm headphone jack altogether.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Android O

Previously, the leaks regarding the devices have suggested that the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones will come along with the latest Android O update. Apart from this, it has also been indicated that the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip. Many times, several reports have suggested that the device might pack up a dual rear camera setup. However, the provision for this hasn’t been made available in the protective casings that are posted for purchase on Amazon.
