Xiaomi’s 5X handset has been spotted in a promo image. The photo of the Android smartphone revealed the details, specs, features, and price. The mobile device might be available in two models - standard and premium. The image made it known that the power and volume keys are located on the right edge of the smartphone.

Specs of the premium variant

The smartphone’s premium variant might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor along with a 6GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage. The handset is expected to cost 1,999 Yuan or approximately $295.

According to GSM Arena, Xiaomi 5X smartphone’s high-end model will have a 12MP dual camera set up and will boast Samsung’s S5k3m3 sensor as well as Sony’s IMX386 sensor. Its 16MP front snapper is best for video calling and selfies. However, the Xiaomi 5X could be up for grabs with an Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Meanwhile, the standard edition of the smartphone will be packed with the same rear and front shooter and might be available with a front fingerprint scanner. The Xiaomi 5X standard model will further come packed with 5.5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm’s mid-range octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, and a 4GB of RAM.

Gadgets 360 reported that if the images turn out to be true, the device will arrive with an all-metal body as well as an iPhone 7-like antenna band.

However, the 5X smartphone seems to be a more premium offering than the Mi 5 flagship mobile device. The handset is anticipated to have two color options: Gold and Black.

Nonetheless, as recently surfaced reports claimed that the smartphone will be dubbed by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer as the Xiaomi 5X, India Today reported that the mobile device will be the company’s first smartphone to roll out under the brand name Lanmi X1.

Expected release date of the smartphone

However, the former member of South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO, Kris Wu, has been spotted in the leaked image of the device, which goes to show that the Chinese celebrity is continuing his association with the tech giant. That being the case, the upcoming mobile device is expected to be available on July 26.

Furthermore, due to its price range, the Xiaomi 5X smartphone could be a hit in the Indian market. Smartphone enthusiasts can expect more information if the tech company decides to unveil the handset in the coming week. Nevertheless, the Xiaomi 5X smartphone is said to compete with mobile devices from Vivo and Oppo.
