Verizon has made the preorder page for the yet-to-be-revealed Moto Z2 Force edition live in a hurry. The page became accessible to consumers two hours before the official launch of the smartphone. After the page had gone live, folks at the Verizon may have realized their mistake and quickly deactivated the same. However, it was spotted by eagle-eyed tech buffs and was enough to learn all that is to know about the smartphone’s features, specs, availability, and of course the pricing.

The Moto Z2 Force will not be launched as an exclusive carrier handset.

Apart from Verizon, the handset will be offered by other major U.S. based operators as well. However, if your preferred carrier is Verizon, then one can purchase the handset for $756 outright. However, if consumers apply for the new 2-year contract, they will be able to buy the device under the monthly payment plan program. In this case, the consumer will not be required to pay any money upfront but will have to make a monthly payment of $15 for the next 24 months or 2 years.

At the time of writing, Verizon was accepting bookings for the handset. However, the carrier mentions that the smartphone will not be delivered before August 8. Consumers placing the pre-orders for the handset can choose from two colors - black or a white/gold combination.

Features and specs of the smartphone

The live page revealed that the Motorola handset would tout of a 5.5-inch AMOLED Quad HD ShatterSheild display with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Running on Android Nougat operating system, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset clocking at 2.35 GHz. The smartphone also houses an Adreno 540 GPU under the hood.

In terms of memory, the Moto Z2 Force Edition comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. The Chinese variant of the device, however, houses 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Consumers will be disappointed that this variant is not coming to the US. Additional storage space of up to 2 TB can be perused in the smartphone with the help of a microSD card.

The handset will also come equipped with a dual camera setup featuring two 12-megapixel primary camera sensors and a 5-megapixel front camera per the live page. A battery of 2,730 mAh capacity, coupled with Turbo Charging abilities, will fuel the Motorola handset. It remains to be seen if the device will catch the fancy of consumers.
