Samsung is not done with 2017 yet. After taking the wraps off its Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones, the device-manufacturer is believed to be working on the successor to last year’s Note 7, Galaxy Note 8 flagship smartphone, which is scheduled to launch on 23rd August 2017. Apart from this, there is another device that the South-Korean technology giant seems to be working on, and that is S8 Active.
Device spotted online
If reports are believed to be true, then Samsung is currently working on the launch of an iteration of its already existing Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones, Galaxy S8 Active.
According to a report published by Slash Leaks, alleged renders of the upcoming smartphone have surfaced online. These pictures are taken from every angle possible, giving fans a decent idea of all the major specifications set to arrive in the device. The user interface of the S8 Active has been given substantial exposure as well.

This isn’t the first time that the smartphone has been leaked in full-glory. It has also recently spotted on FCC’s official website wherein, documents and diagram of the upcoming smartphone revealed all the possible important details regarding the same. According to the information provided through the image, the Galaxy S8 Active is expected to house a 4,000mAh battery.
Samsung was initially supposed to ditch the USB Type-C port in its Galaxy S8 Active smartphone. However, that seems to have changed because the images showcase both, a USB Type-C port as well as a 3.5mm audio port located right at the bottom of the smartphone. There is also a single-speaker.
Apart from this, the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active is expected to sport a different design in comparison to the already-existing Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones.
The device-in-question is expected to be further protected by a bumper style frame as well. The device’s edges are rounded, giving it a modular look. The smartphone is expected to arrive with a dual rear camera system as well. However, the above-given information is not confirmed by Samsung as yet. Therefore, the readers are advised to take the information with a grain of salt.
The company is expected to debut the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone on 23rd August. Therefore, there is a high possibility that the company might launch the Galaxy S8 Active as well. However, the company hasn’t offered any confirmation regarding the same as yet.
