The Bell media outlet revealed that Samsung would roll out the Galaxy Note 8 phablet at an event in NYC on August 23. However, The Investor is reporting the other way around, as the publication site claimed that a Samsung exec confirm only the month, but no specific date.

However, it would be safe to assume that the South Korean tech giant would launch the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8 next month, considering the previous devices have been announced late in the summer. Nonetheless, the famous tech leaker, Evan Blass, speculated that the new smartphone would be available with the same 6.2-inch screen display as the S8 Plus.

The devices will be differentiated by the signature S Pen and a dual-camera setup.

The dual-camera system of the upcoming smartphone could be positioned horizontally and will consist two 12MP sensors. Galaxy Note 8’s fingerprint sensor will likely be located next to the snappers. Samsung’s new smartphone is expected to be available in three colors: gold, blue, and black.

Amazing specs and features

The device will arrive with some spectacular specs and features such as a Super AMOLED curved Infinity Display along with an 18.5:9 ratio, improved iris scanner, Built-in Bixby AI assistant, IP68 certification, as well as Fast charging and wireless charging support. Also, the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with a 6GB RAM and a 64GB of internal storage, expandable through a microSD.

Regarding connectivity, the smartphone will come along with a USB-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be available with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out of the box.

The Galaxy Note 8 is likely getting two iterations depending on storage capacities, the base variant will have a 64GB, while a 128GB for the premium model.

But, both versions will boast the same 6GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Slickwraps has posted a photo of what appears to be Samsung’s highly anticipated phablet. Although the image doesn't pitch in that much information, it does somewhat confirm the device to arrive with a 3.5mm headphone jack, S-Pen, and a USB-C port. The leaked image also showcased the smartphone’s dual camera set up, alongside the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as the heart rate monitor.

Hefty price tag

The smartphone could be the tech company’s most expensive mobile device as it would have a $1,000 price tag. The price of the device could be much like Apple’s much awaited iPhone 8.
