Xiaomi hasn't launched any of its new products in the recent past. The Chinese tech giant has apparently been working on its flagship smartphone, Mi 6 Plus since the last couple of months. The firm, on July 9, 2017, took to Weibo to post a teaser image, suggesting that it is going to reveal a new smartphone next week.

Rumors and speculations regarding the smartphone

According to a report published by Android Headlines, Xiaomi posted a 13-seconds-long teaser video on Weibo. The video didn't contain any device as such. In fact, the users were only asked basic questions like whether they would like to see the perfect smartphone anytime soon and if they would, then what will be the features that will make the smartphone perfect.

The question was followed by a couple of answers. It has been indicated that the smartphone will come equipped with some of the features mentioned. Furthermore, it has also been assumed that the teaser refers to the launch of Xiaomi's Mi 6 Plus smartphone.

The latest teaser indicates that the aforementioned smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8XX-series system-on-chip (SoC). Previously, Xiaomi's Mi 6 Plus smartphone was rumored to pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC. Clearly, that seems to have changed. Additionally, there are also several reports that suggest that Xiaomi is expected to pack its upcoming smartphone with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 836 of 2017. However, the information hasn't been confirmed by the company as yet.

Cutting-edge specs and features

Apart from this, Xiaomi's Mi 6 Plus smartphone is also expected to house a 4,000mAh battery with Fast Charging Technology. The device's primary highlight will be its camera. The smartphone is expected to sport a 22MP rear camera model with 3D Glass, 4K-video viewing technology and LED flash support.

The device will offer basic connectivity options including USB Type-C port, 4G connectivity, NFC support, Bluetooth, infrared blaster and Wi-Fi connectivity options. In the teaser, Xiaomi indicated that they are going to be unveiling a new product on July 11th i.e. tomorrow. However, the firm hasn’t confirmed whether they will be launching its Mi 6 Plus smartphone or not.

There are chances that the Chinese tech giant might end up introducing a new smartphone altogether. Moreover, it appears like the firm will only be sticking to its home-ground i.e. China for the availability of the same. For more tech updates, stay tuned.
