There has been a lot of hype leading up to the release of the Xbox One X, which is called the "World's Most Powerful Console." It will bear more power than both the Nintendo and PlayStation systems. It has been promised that it will be able to play true 4K at 8 million pixels.

The console was seen for a bit at the lengthy Microsoft E3 Press Conference, one of the biggest announcements of the show. The Xbox One X, by recent reports has been said to have trouble delivering native 4K for games and reports have come out on the console's power.

Questions to be answered

There are still questions to be answered about the console. The Xbox One X will be very expensive with a price tag rumored to be close to $500. Microsoft fans hope the console lives up to the hype and price.

Digital Foundry, a company which Microsoft has collaborated with, published a detailed report on the console's performance via a GameSpot article.

How well the system can perform is still at question, specifically when it comes to 4K gaming. One finding was that it was difficult for games to run 4K at 60 frames per second. Some games do run in true 4K like "Gears Of War 4," and "Forza Motorsport 7."

"Gears of War 4," was able to play native 4K, but it ran below 40 FPS.

It is the same story for other games like, "Star Wars Battlefront," which also ran below 60 FPS.

Still a powerful console

The Xbox One X is still a powerful and dynamic system, despite its difficulty with reaching 4K on all games at 60 FPS. The company is being cautious with adding a liquid cooling system to prevent overheating.

Xbox One's 1080p games still perform better on the new hardware while cranking up the resolution to 4K quality. Microsoft did announce "supersampling," which will allow 1080p games to run better on 4K.

There are more details and specifics to be found on Digital Foundry's article and more details will emerge in the coming months.

Time will tell when the system makes it's debut on November 7th of this year.

Sony's dominance

Sony had a brilliant E3 Press Conference that was argued to be significantly better. Sony's PlayStation 4 has been dominating the gaming industry or market.

It is the best selling console in the US and shows no signs of slowing down. The PS4 Pro is able to play native 4K too and Sony has gotten the better of Microsoft in the past. A customer can also buy a PS4 Slim or a regular PlayStation 4 system.

Sony has been the better company with more exclusive games, better pricing, and high quality performance and graphics. The company has also made big strides in the virtual reality department too.

Sony is rumored to be working on the PlayStation 5. Although, Microsoft is releasing a console in 5 months, fans and gamers should rule out Sony anytime soon.
