Nubia N2 has just appeared on Amazon India. The listing coincides with Nubia India’s Twitter post, hinting that ZTE will be launching a powerhouse on July 5. With its slogan #BiggestJustGotSharper, it can already be confirmed that the Twitter post is referring to Nubia N2. Although it is not yet clear, the post may mean that the Chinese company will either host a conference on July 5 or that they may directly release the Nubia N2 on local markets on the said date.

Nubia N2 Specs, Features

Based on the listing, Zte’s upcoming flagship model Nubia N2 will be a powerful mid-range device, equipped with a 5.5-inch 720p AMOLED display and dual standby nano SIM, both capable of accessing 4G networks.

Nubia N2’s main highlight is its 5000mAH battery capacity that can provide 50 hours talk time or 1000 hours standby time. Furthermore, Nubia N2 is expected to boast 64-bit Mali-T860 GPU, Android Marshmallow OS with MTK6750 Octa-core processor. The device will also sport 4 GB of RAM backed by 64 GB built-in memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD storage. Although N2 will come pre-installed with Android 6.0, the device will still feature Nubia’s own UI – Nubia UI 4.0.

The upcoming ZTE flagship will house a 13-megapixel rear camera and 16-megapixel front snapper, which is an ideal smartphone feature for those who are selfie addicts.

Another highlighted feature of the mid-range smartphone is its fingerprint scanner located just below the device’s display. Although a fingerprint scanner isn’t a new technology, this will still give tight security to all users, specifically when locking/unlocking phones, logging in to apps and making payments.

For those who are interested in getting Nubia N2, the device will be available in Black, Gold and Champagne Gold variants, with a debut price of CNY 1,999 ($294) or approximately Rs 19,000 based on current exchange rate.

Other ZTE News, Investments

ZTE recently announced that they will increase their expenses on 5G development this year to 2 billion yuan (approximately $295 million). According to Sina News, ZTE will double their expenditure on 5G research and development, which is aimed to help China in launching the next generation data connectivity by 2020 at the very latest.

Once this would materialize, many should expect that ZTE will be the first ones to possibly manufacture 5G-enabled smartphones in the market.
