The Lenovo-backed Motorola smartphone brand is on a launching spree lately. The firm recently introduced its mid-range Moto E4 Plus smartphone in developing markets like India. Following which, the company has been speculated to be preparing for the launch of either Moto Z2 Force or Moto X4 smartphone at its July 25th event that will take place in New York. But this is not all. The firm it appears is working on the successor to its last year’s Moto G5 Plus smartphone for launch too. The device-in-question dubbed ‘Moto G5S Plus’ has been spotted on several occasions.

Rumors and speculations regarding the upcoming device have managed to give its fans an idea of what can be expected.

Specs and features

The recent set of leaked renders suggests that the upcoming Moto G5S Plus smartphone will most probably come with a dual rear camera set-up. This will be a significant change in design as well as the specifications in comparison to its predecessor. The smartphone, as can be recalled was introduced in the market with a single rear camera sensor and simplistic design. With the introduction of the dual rear camera setup, it appears like the said smartphone will experience a major overhaul regarding its camera specifications. It has been speculated that the Moto G5S Plus smartphone will come with a dual rear camera setup with 13MP sensors.

This will further be complemented by an 8MP front snapper for selfie-lovers.

The Moto G5 Plus smartphone came with a 12MP rear sensor along with an 8MP front shooter. The leaked image further went on to reveal quite a few details regarding the front and back panels of the Moto G5S Plus smartphone. It appears like the upcoming Motorola smartphone is expected to pack a 5.5-inch Full-HD display.

The device seems to be donning an all-aluminium build as well. This is another primary upgrade to the smartphone in comparison to its predecessor as the latter sported a plastic-metal hybrid chassis.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625

Apart from this, the upcoming Moto G5S Plus smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor.

The smartphone is further speculated to come packed with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage. Motorola is planning on launching the smartphone in three different color variants including Gold, Silver, and Black. The upcoming smartphone falls in the mid-range category. Therefore the price won’t surpass $200.
