Microsoft is introducing its new Surface phone with spectacular features and specifications. The entry of Microsoft in the high-end smartphone market might start a new rivalry among tech giants. There has been lots of rumor regarding the launch of the Surface Phone on the internet. The smartphone will rival Apple's iPhone 8 and samsung galaxy S8. The flagship is rumored to feature a 5.7-inch display and Snapdragon 835 CPU. Recently, rendered image of the Windows 10 phone design was leaked on the Internet.

Three variants of the Microsoft's Flagship smartphone

The phone is expected to come with three distinct variants: Consumer edition, business edition and enthusiast edition. It has been said that Microsoft is trying to feature a metal unibody design in Surface Phone. With its new partnership with Qualcomm, Microsoft is highly likely to have Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 835 chipset which is a sequel of top-end Snapdragon 820 and 821 chips. These chips are also featured in OnePlus 3T, Google Pixel, and Samsung Galaxy S7. Snapdragon 835 chipset will surely make the device a powerful one in terms of performance.

Flagship killer in terms of specs and features

There has been no information regarding the camera but rumors suggest that the flagship device might come with a 12 MP-primary and an 8 MP-secondary camera.

Microsoft’s Surface Phone is also expected to feature a USB-C type for connectivity and fast charging purposes. On the storage front, the device might sport 128GB internal memory with 6GB RAM. Microsoft has issued several patents for the Surface Phone which is also supposed to have a fingerprint scanner screen. This conveys the chances of a slimmer body, a keyboard, a stylus and a built-in projector which could project desktop display.

No predecessor for comparison

As Surface Phone did not have a predecessor, it cannot be judged according to the faults of the previous edition. However, the device has been rumored for so many years that Microsoft’s Surface Phone is expected to impress users when launched. The smartphone is expected to launch by the end of 2017 and might cost around $699 to $1100(₤499-₤799).
