The South Korean tech company LG recently launched the smaller version of its LG G6, dubbed as the LG Q6 smartphone. The Q6 series comes along with two other mobile devices, namely Q6 Alpha and Q6 Plus. However, the tech giant has shared the official promotional video of the handset highlighting its FullVision display, camera specs, as well as using the handset with one hand.

The LG Q6 Android smartphone is a part of the tech titan’s Q series, along with the other two handsets. The LG Q6 comes along with the flagship LG G6’s FullVision display and boasting an 18:9 aspect ratio.

LG Q6 is available with a 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution with a 442ppi pixel density. The latest handset is being touted as a sleek mobile device that comfortably fits in a person’s hand.

Camera features

On the camera front, the device boasts a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front snapper along with a 100 degree wide-angle. The promo video of the smartphone showed the Burst Mode that can take multiple shots as well as Square Camera feature that divides the user interface (UI) into two squares.

According to IB Times, LG made it known that the Q6 has passed several battery tests, which include shock conditions, penetration, and heat. The promotional video also highlighted the handset’s durability. The 7000 series aluminum construction makes the mobile device damage resistant.

LG Q6 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The smartphone is also available with Google Assistant and faces recognition.

Nonetheless, the smartphones in LG’s Q series are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 chipset and a 3,000mAh battery. The Q6 Alpha comes with a 2GB RAM and a 16GB of internal storage, the Q6 ships with a 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage, while the Q6 Plus smartphone boasts a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of storage.

Smartphones’ color options

In terms of connectivity, the Q6 is available with Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-B 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 and NFC. However, the Plus variant comes in three colors - Marine Blue, Ice Platinum, and Astro Black. The Q6 can be bought in Mystic White, Terra Gold, Ice Platinum and Astro Black. Meanwhile, the Alpha model is available in Terra Gold, Ice Platinum, and Astro Black color variants.

In spite of that, the Q series of handsets are designed for the mid-level smartphone users. The smartphones come with a 5.5-inch screen. The Q-Family of phones is not IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. Also, the mobile devices are not available with a fingerprint scanner.
