Lenovo has long been rumored to be working on Motorola’s next flagship smartphone, the Moto Z2 Force. Many leading media websites even carried the possible specifications expected to arrive in the upcoming Moto Z2 Force smartphone thereby giving the fans a vague idea of what can be expected from the smartphone manufacturer.

It seems like the wait is finally over as Lenovo has now officially launched its Moto Z2 Force smartphone. The device as suggested by most rumors comes equipped with a ShatterShield display. According to the company, the ShatterShield display with help the smartphone stay protected even under harshest of the conditions.

The smartphone also comes with support for the company’s famous Moto Mods.

What about the specifications?

Most of the specifications are the same as suggested by the rumors that emerged online in the recent past. The Moto Z2 Force is reportedly built using the 700-series aluminum. The smartphone further packs a 6.1mm thick uni-body along with a 3.5mm headphone jack coupled with a USB Type-C adapter as well. The flagship comes packed with a 5.5-inch QHD display with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution, further protected by the company’s ShatterShield technology. The smartphone is further powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip. On the storage front, the smartphone comes equipped with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage.

There is another variant of the same smartphone wherein the device packs 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. As suggested by the majority of the rumors, the Moto Z2 Force smartphone comes packed with a dual rear camera system with two 12-megapixels sensors. Under this, one sensor is designed to capture light in color while the other is known to capture images well in monochrome.

The smartphone’s camera is further accompanied with additional utilities including PDAF, Laser Auto-Focus as well as a Dual-LED flash. The smartphone also comes equipped with a 5-megapixels front shooter that is tagged along with other utilities such as an 85-degree wide-angle lens. The smartphone also houses a 2,730mAh battery and runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

The company has even further promised that the device would be receiving the Android O update soon as well.

As far as the pricing is concerned

The smartphone has been launched at a starting price of $799 (that roughly translates into Rs 51,500). Lenovo has launched the smartphone in three color variants namely Fine Gold, Lunar Grey as well as Super Black colors. The pre-orders for the same is expected to begin in the first week of August.
