When Samsung and Apple officially release their next flagship mobile devices, the smartphone industry is expected to get more intense. So far, leaks and rumors have provided smartphone enthusiasts ideas as to how the Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8 would look like.

Gotta Be Mobile reported that smartphone enthusiasts should hold off from buying any high-end smartphone as Samsung and Apple are about to launch their latest flagship smartphones. Wherein, Samsung is expected to unveil its new flagship device on August 23, while the Cupertino based tech company will announce its 10th anniversary iPhone on September.

iPhone 8’s specs

Nonetheless, here’s a comparison review of the upcoming smartphones reported specs. First up is Apple’s iPhone 8, the device is expected to be available with an enlarged 5.8-inch OLED screen. Leaked renders of the smartphone obtained by Forbes last week showed a cutout on the display’s top part that will make room for the front-facing camera. The handset’s sensors are currently presumed to carry the 3D facial recognition functionality.

Apple’s flagship mobile device is expected to be equipped with an Apple A11 chip, iOS 11 with improved Siri, P2P payments, wireless charging support and support for LTE speeds up to 450Mbps. With the company offering the smartphone in 128GB and 256GB configurations, the price of the smartphone will start from $1,100 to $1,200.

Meanwhile, the leaked renders of Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone showed that the handset would come along with a physical button on the sides. Apart from Galaxy Note 8’s volume buttons and the power button, the device is expected to arrive with a dedicated physical button for the company’s all-new virtual assistant, Bixby.

The South Korean tech giant is also preparing the handset’s high-end version, a 6GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in memory. The RAM alone would be an edge of the smartphone over its competitors.

According to The Inquirer, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be equipped with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED curved Infinity Display with 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

The device will also boast an S Pen support, improved iris scanner, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, IP68 certification, fast charging, wireless charging support.

Also, the smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The Note 8 phablet could be the tech giant’s most expensive handset. The mobile device is expected to have a $1,000 price tag.
