Specs and rumors surrounding Apple's Anniversary phone

Rumors of iPhone 8’s specs have been spreading online, wherein it was first suggested that the device would have a curved screen; however, recent reports suggest that the company will not push through with the idea.

Digging dive into the device’s possible specs, Apple is said to be introducing OLED displays on its next generation iPhones.

It is known that OLED screen produces its light unlike the old LCD panels, which means the screen doesn’t need a backlight anymore thus saving power.

Furthermore, Apple is reportedly planning to have three display sizes for the iPhone 8: 4.7-inches, 5.5-inches, and 5.8-inches; however, rumor has it that the latter will only get the upgraded OLED screen.

For the performance, Apple is likely to introduce a new SoC - the unannounced A11 processor – which will be more powerful than the current A10 Fusion system-on-chip. On its camera front, the upcoming flagship is expected to carry dual lenses just like the iPhone 7.

Other rumors surrounding iPhone8’s specs include having a new design with an all-glass construction, sporting wireless charging support, rear-facing Touch ID sensor, face scanning technology and boasting LTE support up to 450Mbps.

Apple’s other device, iPad Pro

Apple launched the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2, aiming to target a wider consumer base, while the company also updated the 12.9-inch version of iPad Pro.

According to Trusted Reviews, since iPad Pro 2 10.5-inch is larger than the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, this means that the former can now display a full-size keyboard on the screen.

Although the former has a larger screen, the company managed to maintain its weight at 477g. Moreover, the new iPad Pro 2 is handy because it doubles the maximum refresh rate to 120Hz, resulting to smoother, crisper and more responsive on screen movements.
