The design of Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 8 has been the much talked about feature in the rumor mill. Now, Forbes shared a photo of what the actual device might look like, and the upcoming smartphone will not look like any other iPhones.

Smartphone’s design

Forbes’ Gordon Kelly collaborated with case designer Nodus, came up with iPhone 8’s final design. The design is based on the supply chain’s CAD files. The pictures indicated that the Cupertino-based tech giant will replace iPhone 7 Plus’ horizontally aligned dual rear camera with a vertically aligned camera on the new iPhone.

This camera switch is to support the tech company’s huge endeavor into Augmented Reality (AR) technology.

The leakers of the information confirmed that the 10th anniversary iPhone will not be available with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C. The images also made it known that the power button of the iPhone 8 will be bigger than the iPhone 7.

However, the publication site claimed that Apple’s iPhone 8 will be available with a nearly bezel-less display. The report supports the prediction of KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo that Apple will launch the smartphone with the highest screen-to-body ratio than the current mobile devices in the market. The KGI Securities analyst also believes that the 10th-anniversary mobile device would be Apple’s top-selling smartphone.

The smartphone is also expected to arrive with a 5.8-inch display. But, the tech company will pave the way for the front facing camera.

Nonetheless, according to The Inquirer, the iPhone 8 is expected to arrive with Apple’s A11 chip, iOS 11 with improved Siri, wireless charging support. The smartphone will also have support for LTE speeds up to 450Mbps.

The upcoming Apple smartphone is anticipated to have a front 3D scanner module, which will be used for facial recognition. The face scanning feature will be utilized to unlock the mobile device.
