The HMD Global-backed nokia has recently launched the Nokia 3310. If reports are to be believed, Finnish tech giant is set to launch its much-anticipated smartphone, Nokia 9. The upcoming Flagship product will be an Android-based smartphone. The launch date is not confirmed by the company but reports suggest the device might be launch next month. Notably, Samsung's Note 8 and Apple's iPhone 8 are also rumored to be release soon. Nokia's flagship launch ahead of these devices seems to be a strategic decision by the company.

Nokia 9 spotted online

According to a report published by India Today, it seems like the Nokia 9 smartphone – with model number ‘TA-1004’ was spotted on the official FCC certification website just recently. Following which, the smartphone was spotted on AnTuTu and Geekbench as well. Interestingly, the smartphone carried the same model number as before. Thanks to these leaks, complete specifications regarding the Nokia 9 smartphone were pretty much revealed. If reports are believed to be true, then it seems like the Nokia 9 smartphone is going to come packed with a 5.3-inch QHD display and will probably run on Google’s latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.

Nokia 9 features and specs

The Finnish tech giant is also expected to get rid of the 4GB RAM storage variant option altogether.

Instead, the firm will either offer 6GB or 8GB RAM storage options. As mentioned previously, the smartphone is going to fall in the high-end category. Therefore – in other words – the smartphone is going to be the company’s flagship device, ready to take on other major giants such as Apple and Samsung. There are many reports that have even indicated that the Nokia 9 smartphone may pack a dual rear camera setup with 13MP sensors along with a 13MP front snapper as well.

However, the information has not been confirmed by the company as yet – therefore, it is best to take it with a grain of salt.

The Nokia 9 smartphone is further expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor. If this turns out to be true then the device will fall in direct competition with the rest of the major flagship smartphones such as samsung galaxy S8, Google Pixel 2, OnePlus 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 as well.

It will be the ultimate battle of the flagship smartphones. Several reports indicated that Nokia might introduce the device in the third quarter of 2017. There has been no word on the pricing as yet.
