Ahead of the software’s official launch this fall, Apple Inc. has rolled out Mac OS High Sierra’s new beta version to public beta testers. The tech company released the new pre-release version for Mac devices shortly after the iOS 11 beta 2 was available for public beta testers.

The tech giant’s public beta system participants recently received Mac OS High Sierra update’s new beta build. The new beta build arrives two weeks after the beta 1 and corresponds with the third developer beta that was seeded to authorized developers early this week.

Mac OS High Sierra features

The Mac OS High Sierra is the essential update for the lapses of the operating system. Nonetheless, the Cupertino based tech titan designed the much-needed operating system to improve and refine some areas of the current OS. The latest software will boast more efficient file system. The update also comes along with VR content creation and Metal 2 (provides near-direct access to the GPU). Also, the tech giant plans to upgrade apps like Safari, Mail, and Photos.

The macOS High Sierra update optimized the Mail storage, which will take up 35% less space. Meanwhile, the Safari provides the latest autoplay blocking feature for Intelligent Tracking Prevention and for videos, which will protect the privacy of the user.

While there are new iCloud storage family plans as well as iCloud Drive file sharing options, users can now store the iMessages in the iCloud. The Photos app will offer the upgraded editing and side view tools.

iOS 11 beta 2

On the other hand, the tech company also rolled out iOS 11 beta 2 to beta testers. The latest operating system update arrived two weeks after the tech titan launched the non-developer pre-release build.

Apple device users can try the second beta version by signing up for the tech company’s public beta system.

Apple device users must not expect anything more or less once they’ve installed the update, as the iOS 11 beta 2 comes along with the same changes and features just like its developer-only counterpart. Once the beta two update is installed on Apple devices, such as iPod touch, iPads or iPhones, then the update will be a simple process.

However, as the update happens through over-the-air programming (OTA), users are recommended to have a working WiFi connection, and at least 50 percent battery life. Then, users will launch the Settings app, from there, head to General, then Software Update. If the iOS 11 Beta 2 is available, tap the download and install.
