Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus handsets a few days ago. The exact date of the smartphones’ release has not been revealed yet but, Motorola fans can expect the unlocked version of the handsets to hit the shelves soon. However, people have been wondering which of the major carriers will offer the two new mobile phones after their release.

New Motorola smartphones coming to Verizon

A new render released by Motorola seems to hint that Verizon will be one of the carriers which will bring the two handsets to customers. The company has not come out and explicitly stated the same.

However, the press renders almost confirm that both the Motorola devices will make their way into the list of Verizon locked devices.

The press renders in question reveal the Verizon branding at the rear of the devices and toward the very bottom. According to the renders, the Verizon locked handsets will come in two shades: black and gold. Verizon has yet to confirm this news along with the pricing for both the smartphones from the Lenovo-owned company.

Considering the mid-range specs and features of the two devices from Motorola, it can be safe to assume that the price will not be too high. Verizon would most likely offer monthly payment plans for the phone so that customers who do not want to pay the full amount at once can do so.

In that case, a fixed amount would be added to the monthly bill that customers will have to pay in the form of installments.

Specs of the two Motorola phones

The Moto E4 bears the smaller 5-inch 720p display between the two, whereas the plus variant comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display. Both the devices are powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 CPU or the Snapdragon 427 CPU.

Under the hood, they will come with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.

The smaller of the two handsets includes a 2,800 mAh battery while the bigger model comes with a massive 5,000 mAh battery. Both handsets run on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat and come with fingerprint scanners. The devices boast an 8-megapixel rear facing the camera and a 5-megapixel front facing the selfie snapper.

The unlocked version of the Moto E4 will be priced $129.99, whereas the unlocked Moto E4 Plus will retail at $179.99. So it is likely that prices will be somewhere around this range for the Verizon locked phones as well. However, one will have to wait and watch when Verizon or Motorola announces the carrier locked Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus.
