Samsung is planning to bring out the incredible "Galaxy Note 8" this year. Last year's "Galaxy Note 7" was not very successful as the company was forced to do a massive recall of the handset after hundreds of them exploded or caught fire. The Note 7 was also banned by airlines and in other places.

After Samsung replaced the faulty batteries, it happened again and the company was forced to completely halt production. They took a huge hit, Apple overtook them in the smartphone market, and the costs of this massive scandal were upwards of $3 billion.

The Korean company was almost about to stop the range of Note gadgets. However, they are determined to bring out their high-end model -- "Samsung Galaxy Note 8." It is generally believed the device will be released before the year is over.

Burned Note 7 users could claim a Galaxy Note 8 at half price

According to The Inquirer, for all those who found their Note 7 in flames, Samsung is planning on providing them the upcoming model for only half the price. The company lost more than a little credibility when the Note 7 turned out to be a failure. Offering old clients a cheaper deal could be a great opportunity to bring back users.

Usually, the company launches a new Note device every year in Berlin at the IFA tech show.

This year the leading trade show for consumer electronics will be held from September 1 to 6. There is some speculation that the upcoming device will hit the market during the event.

Galaxy Note 8 is said to be worth its price

Additional features will be an advantage for the new device, especially the curved infinity display with an18.5:9 ratio.

Samsung has not confirmed the price for the device, but it is expected to be around $899. It will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip with 6GB RAM, and a vertical dual lens rear camera.

Samsung has done a great job with the specs of this device. The storage is 64GB and includes a microSD extension. Arriving with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat it also has an IP68 certification.

Samsung is using a different approach as they plan to launch their device before Apple's iPhone 8. There have been numerous leaks about the gadget as some sources state that the Note 8 will look almost like the "Samsung Galaxy S8." The outer body color of the device is reportedly said to be either blue or black.

Samsung is expected to have competition with Apple's iPhone 8 as there is a posssibility that both phones will launch at almost the same time. However, the iPhone 8 might be delayed for a few more months due to certain production issues.
